Although only 300 Advanced Jumbos were made in the late '30s, this acoustic has been sought after for the last 60 years by performers who have been fortunate enough to hear the powerful sound of this rare dreadnought. The notable tone and projection of this original Gibson model are credited to its special top bracing, as well as its long scale, sloped-shoulder body with Indian Rosewood back and sides.
True to its 1936 design, the Advanced Jumbo features a hand selected Sitka Spruce top, 1930s-style Rosewood bridge, bound fingerboard with Mother of Pearl arrow inlay, 1930's headstock with vintage Mother Of Pearl Gibson logo, historic "flame" pickguard, historic tuning machines and a Vintage Sunburst lacquer finish.
