Line6 Toneport GX

The Line 6 TonePort GX USB recording interface offers guitarists Line 6 POD tone on their computer at an unprecedented price point.

The Line 6 TonePort GX is a portable palm-sized USB recording interace designed for the guitarist. With a single 1/4-inch guitar and bass input and a USB 1.1 or 2.0 compatible port, the TonePort GX will recording 44.1kHz, 48kHz, or 96kHz 24-bit audio into Mac and PC recording software packages including Sonar, Cubase, GarageBand and Logic. A built-in audio player means you can jam along with your favorite MP3s, with tone from GearBox software's range of Line 6 POD amp, cabinet and effects models including valve recording gear, guitar and bass rigs. Everything needed for incredible sounding guitar, bass and vocal tracks. A 1/4-inch to female XLR adapter or cable is required, but you can plug a dynamic microphone into TonePort GX and record vocals vi 6 mic preamp models.

Line 6 TonePort GX features ToneDirect low latency monitoring. Latency is the annoying and confusing time delay between playing your guitar and hearing the processed guitar sound through your DAW computer speakers. Other guitar interfaces solve this problem by allowing you to monitor the unprocessed dry guitar signal before it enters the DAW comptuter. While there is no delay, you also have no idea how your guitar really sounds as it misses the effects and modelliing processing. Line 6 TonePort GX with ToneDirect Monitoring allows you to hear the processed signal with extreme low latency, so you monitor exactly the sound your're playing and recording.

Simply plug the Line 6 TonePort GX into your computers USB port, install the included Line 6 GearBox software, and turn your computer into a state-of-the-art recording studio. The included GearBox software provides a hardware-like, easy-to-navigate interface for dialing up the perfect tone, taken directly from the Line 6 POD and ready for your guitar, bass, and vocals. Instantly access meticulously crafted models of 23 classic and modern guitar/bass amps, 29 guitar/bass speaker cab models, and 30 stompbox and studio effects, as well as models of 6 studio-standard vocal preamps.
