The ultra-small Digidesign Mbox 2 Micro enables Pro Tools users to edit, sequence, and mix sessions created on Pro Tools|HD, Pro Tools LE, and Pro Tools M-Powered systems on the go, as well as compose music with virtual instruments and loops.

About the size of a typical USB flash drive, Mbox 2 Micro offers high-quality 24-bit / 48 kHz sound, a 1/8-inch stereo output for headphone or speaker monitoring (no audio inputs), and a convenient volume wheel, providing you with the freedom of true editing, sequencing, and mixing mobility. Whether you’re looking to work on studio-created or live sound Pro Tools sessions on the go, or create loop-based or virtual instrument-driven music, Mbox 2 Micro lets you work wherever inspiration takes you.

Digidesign Mbox 2 Micro comes with award-winning Pro Tools LE software, enabling you to open, edit, and mix your existing Pro Tools|HD-, Pro Tools LE-, or Pro Tools M-Powered-created sessions in high-fidelity audio. Play back sessions with up to 24-bit / 48 kHz high-quality audio, and enjoy access to the wide range of professional Pro Tools plug-ins and virtual instruments available (for higher sample rate Pro Tools|HD sessions, be sure to down-convert the sessions using your studio setup prior to using Mbox 2 Micro). Mbox 2 Micro even supports Music Production Toolkit and DV Toolkit 2 options, enabling you to work on larger projects (up to 48 stereo tracks) while on the road.

While Mbox 2 Micro is an output-only audio device, it also serves as a simple music creation studio thanks to the included Pro Tools LE software, bundled software, and wealth of compatible virtual instruments and plug-in options available. Digidesign Mbox 2 Micro comes with Xpand!, a compelling sample-playback/synthesis workstation from the Digidesign Advanced Instrument Research (A.I.R.) group, to help get you started. Built for songwriters, soundtrack composers, DJs, electronic musicians, music producers, and sound designers, Xpand! provides fast and easy ways to access and manipulate thousands of high-quality sounds from within Pro Tools, enabling you to craft anything from pristine-sounding acoustic instruments to complex synthesized soundscapes or loop-driven techno tracks.

Sure, it’s small, but Mbox 2 Micro comes fully loaded with a big assortment of creative software and processing plug-ins to mix and master your sessions to completion — over 45 plug-ins!
