First there were tube amps. Then we had solid state amps. Then we had modelling amps. And then we all decided that the tube ones sounded best so we went back to them!! The new Fender Super Champ XD is a small, all tube guitar amp that will drive 15 watts through it's 10" Fender speaker.
It's ideal for home use, for recording & for very small gigs/jam sessions. The real beauty with this kind of amp is that you can drive it a bit (and so get the best tones) but without creating enough volume to annoy the neighbours. It has a typical Fender clean sound (ie, the best in the world!) & a great bluesy/country/rock over drive sound. On top of that it has a new 16 position voice knob that allows you to just click through some classic tone settings.
It also features a digital FX knob that allows you to dial up some basic FX like reverb, chorusor delay. And finally - look at the price! That's incredible value.
