GAK are proud to be one of the limited number of dealers able to source the NEW Yamaha Phoenix PHX Series Drum Kit.

The new range is a result of over 5 years of extensive research at Yamaha's unique new drum laboratory in Japan where a leading group of some of the world's most respected drum artists have been working alongside Yamaha's top sound engineers and drum technicians on the Phoenix since it was first conceived in 2003.

A small team of just 3 highly skilled technical craftsmen work extensively to handcraft a maximum 20 kits a year destined for the UK market. Yamaha state that this is their "best sounding kit ever"!

OVERVIEW: The stiffness of the shell shifts from the centre ply towards the outside, assisting the new 'Hook Lug System' design mounted at the 'belly' of the shell. This then reduces any excessive overtones and controls the sound hugely. The new 'YESSII' shell mount system which utilizes a wooden plate and a special rubber material to mount the shell with no metal to shell contact.
