Gibson Custom Johnny A. Standard with Bigsby

The Inspired By Johnny A. Standard is a slightly more affordable version of the enormously popular Johnny A. Signature model. With a one-piece tonally chambered mahogany body and a carved mahogany top, this sweet axe produces tones both warm and clear. The one-piece mahogany neck with a custom Johnny A. rounded profile is comfortable whether you're playing chords or a singing solo. You'll be ready to jump right in to rhythm or lead with '57 classic humbucking pickups in both the bridge and neck positions, a 3-way selector switch and individual volume and tone controls.

The Inspired By Johnny A. Standard looks as good as it sounds. The rich mahogany wood is complemented by cream binding around the body and rosewood fingerboard and a cream colored pickguard. Unique f-holes, nickel hardware, custom acrylic inlays, amber top hat knobs and vintage tulip style tuners all come together to make this electric guitar a memorable thing of beauty, one that will never go out of style.

A true "guitarist's guitarist," Johnny A. is a unique musical talent whose diverse taste allows him to explore everything from progressive rock and jazz fusion, to jump blues and straight-up rock n' roll. When he collaborated with the famed luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop on the Johnny A. Signature Model in 2003, the result was an instant classic. With the Inspired By Johnny A. Standard guitar, the Custom Shop takes that bold design and adds a carved mahogany top and other appointments that remain true to the original while delivering a stunning tonal and visual statement all its own.
