The Marshall Class 5 is a straightforward Class A 5W combo featuring Volume, Bass, Middle and Treble controls. Uncomplicated by effects, master volume, effects loops and other features usually packed into small amps nowadays, this Marshall delivers pure valve tone using two ECC83 (12AX7) double triode valves in the pre-amp and one EL84 in the power stage. Simply turn it up for classic Marshall rock and blues tones.
The Class5 uses a specially designed Celestion G10F-15 10" driver, enabling this small combo to deliver a sound that is open and transparent while retaining a harmonically pleasing richness of tone. The G10F-15 delivers amazing bottom end, which is often lacking in combos of smaller size. The Marshall Class 5 is used by Joe Bonamassa in the studio and backstage.
