The Power
POWERCORE provides you with 4 industry standard Motorola DSPs and a PowerPC™. This unique configuration transforms any VST- or MAS-compatible software into a professional audio workstation! Run up to 28 Vintage Compressors, or 8 MEGA REVERBS or any combination of the included studio-quality effects without maxing out your computer’s resources. All DSP processing is performed on the card; only the user interface requires minimal resources. This DSP-backbone will significantly enhance your existing production environment! Need even more power? Add another POWERCORE. SUPPORTS MOST VST/MAS APPLICATIONS ON MAC AND PC POWERCORE integrates seamlessly with most I/O systems and most software that supports VST or MAS Plug-Ins, such as Logic, Cubase, Digital Performer, Nuendo, Live and many others. Make sure your application supports VST or MAS – and you are compatible!
Any Host
Pick any sequencer or audio application – as long as it supports VST or MAS FX Plug-Ins (for POWERCORE instruments, the application must additionally support VST instruments). Audio Unit support is planned for March 2003.
I/O
POWERCORE functions with all I/O systems supported by your application, making it the perfect addition to almost any existing system. (Check that your I/O card system doesn’t require ALL of the existing PCI bandwidth.)
Up To 4
Up to 4 cards may be used simultaneously in one system, though each card provides you with so much power that you probably won’t need that. (POWERCORE is not approved for operation in PCI expansion chassis. Details from your TC WORKS distributor.)
Options
3rd parties are an integral part of the POWERCORE platform, ensuring that there will always be a growing number of professional tools available. Check the amazing Waldorf D-Coder (Vocoder), Sony Inflator and Oxford EQ or D-Sound VL2 Plug-In. They all take advantage of POWERCORE’s processing power to provide you with seamlessly integrated FX in your VST/MAS sequencer. And many more to follow.

24 / 7C - Virtual Limiting Amplifier
Convincing vintage compression and limiting using one of the most desired vintage models for POWERCORE! 24/7•C was inspired by one of the vintage processors synonymous with classic dynamics processing for mixing and mastering. This Plug-In recreates the details of the sound and user interface of this hardware processor as closely as possible, delivering virtual vintage at its best. The user interface is simple and straight-forward: increasing the input will drive the limiter depending on the selected ratio.
Even the famous 4-Button-mode was implemented. A special new feature is an Auto-Gain sensing for the Output parameter, that adjusts the output depending on the program material. Four stereo or up to six mono instances of 24/7•C run on just one of POWERCORE’s DSPs, without taxing the CPU.
24/7C is exclusively available for POWERCORE.

CLASSIC VERB - Classic Reverb Processor
The new CLASSIC VERB enhances the out-of-the-box reverb flexibility of PowerCore significantly! This new processor adds the other category of warm, lush reverb effects often associated with big expensive hardware processors to the effects menu. It is a whole different way to create the effect compared with our usual reverb philosophy, and the natural sounding reverbs provided by MEGA REVERB.

CHORUS•DELAY - Modulation Multi-FX
CHORUS•DELAY provides the trademark TC Electronic chorus sound. It recreates the 1210 Spatial Expander with its unique modulation images like Chorus, Flanging and Slap Delay with very flexible routing and filtering facilities. Of course you can adjust the modulation speed in BPM.

EQSAT Custom - Hi-Performance EQ
EQSat Custom is a very clean sounding and carefully crafted EQ-model for any application including mastering.
The processor provides 5 bands with 3 parametric ones and 2 additional shelving bands. The frequency response display gives instant feedback on the applied equalization curve. And what’s more, the unique saturation emulation can be activated to create that warm, analogue sound whenever desired.

VINTAGE CL - Channel Compressor•Limiter
Hi-quality compression and limiting on each channel is very hard to realize when limited to native processing only. VINTAGE CL delivers just that – up to 28 VINTAGE CLs can be run on one POWERCORE card, or 7 per DSP. In spite of this efficiency, VINTAGE CL employs a carefully crafted algorithm – emulating the behaviour of industry-standard analog compression devices, best imagined as "dbx-style" to use a classic reference, delivering comparable results in the hardware world.
