Get the classic sounds of Yamaha’s renowned DX-7 synthesizer. The PLG150-DX features the same 6-operator, 16-note polyphonic FM tone generation system that took the synthesizer industry by storm. This plug-in board is a must-have for electronic musicians and composers of contemporary music. Adds 6-operator FM synthesis to synthesizers compatible with the Modular synthesis Plug-in System.
Compatible with the XG Plug-in System. FM produces dynamic voices that evolve and change timbre with different velocities. These kinds of sounds are not possible with PCM based architectures.
912 preset voices plus 64 user locations pre-loaded with the original DX7 voices.
Adds 16 notes of polyphony to the synthesizer it is installed on. The Polyphony extension feature increases polyphony when multiple PLG150-DX boards are installed.
Capable of bulk reception of voice data, including all voice data made for the DX7.
Comes with DX Easy Editor for simple voice editing and DX Simulator for detailed editing.
Notes:
Accepts voice data of the following FM synthesizers: DX7, DX1, TF1, TX116, TX816, TX7, DX5, DX72,FD, DX72D, DX7S,TX802.
(Some voices may sound slightly different when played back on the PLG150-DX) DX Easy Editor and DX Simulator are software plug-ins developed for XGworks sequencing software (Windows 98/95).
