The new RBX270 is based on an ergonomic body of solid alder formed with wide cutouts for greater comfort and playability. A sleek rosewood on maple neck, fitted with 24 frets, offers a playing surface built for maximum speed. The split-style and J-style pickups are fed through a balance control, for mixing the signals from the the two pickups, then master tone and volume controls. Also available in fretless and left-handed models the RBX270 delivers serious performance with both power and punch.

The RBX270 is perfect for bass players seeking modern features at an affordable price. Expanding on the success of the RBX260, Yamaha has added several improvements including an additional pickup, side mount guitar jack, black headstock, and several exciting new finishes.

The RBX270 is a lot of bass at a really keen price. Standard RBX features include a 34”-scale neck with full two-octave fingerboard, with excellent up-top access provided by the wide-cutaway contouring of the solid alder body.

The combination of powerful split coil and single-coil bar pickups is a favourite among many bass players, and offers an extensive range of sounds via the instrument's pickup balance control. A choice of six cool colours is an added attraction.
