Ty Tabor, virtuoso axeman with Texas power trio Kings X, is very particular about his sound - that’s why he’s more than happy to endorse the RGX TT. The guitar is designed with sharply tapered basswood wings and a stepped maple centre section, specifically to provide a well-focused midrange and tight low-end frequencies, characteristics which are exploited to the full by the Seymour Duncan pickups.

The two Vintage Rails serve up a bright, clear tonality, counterpointed by the warm raunch of the JB bridge humbucker. These sounds are creatively combined by the five-way pickup selector, and the JB has a coil split too for added tonal scope. Once tried, forever smitten.

The RGX TT-D6 shares the same construction, pickup system and cosmetics as the regular TT signature model. The big difference with the D6 version is its longer scale length and heavier string gauges (11-64), allowing drop tuning to A or B for in-your-boots riffing without the need to re-learn chord shapes or technique. Deep metal indeed!
